Lionsgate has announced the Sisu 4K & Blu-ray release date. After the historical action movie releases on Digital on June 27, 2023, it will hit store shelves soon after.
When does Sisu release on 4K and Blu-ray?
Sisu releases on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD, and Video on Demand on July 11, 2023. Sisu will be available for the suggested retail prices of $19.99 on Digital, $42.99 on 4K + Blu-ray + Digital (both National 4K and Best Buy Exclusive SteelBook), $39.99 for Blu-ray + DVD + Digital, $29.96 for DVD, and $5.99 on Video on Demand.
The 4K/DVD/Blu-ray has two special features: Indestructible: Making Sisu and Pushing the Boundaries of Reality: The Visual Effects of Sisu. The film stars Jorma Tommila (Rare Exports, Joulubileet, Big Game), Aksel Hennie (Max Manus: Man of War, Headhunters, The Martian), Jack Doolan (TV’s “The Boys,” “Marcella,” Cemetery Junction), Mimosa Willamo (Aurora, Lake Bodom, Headfirst), and Onni Tommila (Big Game, Rare Exports).
“During WWII, a solitary prospector crosses paths with Nazis in northern Finland,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “When the Nazis steal his gold, they quickly discover he is no ordinary miner. While there is no direct translation for the Finnish word “sisu,” the legendary ex-commando will embody what it means: a white-knuckled form of courage and unimaginable determination in the face of overwhelming odds. And this one-man death squad will go to outrageous lengths to get his gold back — even if it means killing every last Nazi in his path.”
