Developers Ludosity and Fair Play Labs announced on Thursday that Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 would be arriving this year, bringing a sequel to 2021’s multiplayer brawler.
The game is due out later this year and will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via IGN). Not only will Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 include an expanded roster — with Squidward and Jimmy Neutron teased in the game’s trailer — but it will also feature a campaign, new gameplay, new modes and content, crossplay, and more, according to a tweet announcing the game.

According to IGN’s report on the game, the single-player campaign for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 will focus on players having to stop Danny Phantom villain Vlad Plasmius from trying to conquer the Nickelodeon universe. IGN also mentions that gameplay will also include new super abilities, which will act as incredibly powerful moves for players to use to swing things into their favor.
The original Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl released in 2021, and featured 25 playable characters in total by the end of its time being updated. It’s currently unclear whether or not every character will be returning for the sequel, but the trailer does show many that were in the original.
