Given the price of gaming chairs, durability is one of the most attractive qualities. There’s nothing worse than paying hundreds of dollars for a chair that then rips or shows signs of wear after just a few weeks. The Flash Series XL Size Gaming Chair from E-WIN is designed around solving that issue and is built with long-lasting quality in mind.
What makes this gaming chair most unique is that it is built for larger individuals. Living up to its XL billing, the chair is recommended for those between 5’7″ and 7′ tall and supports up to 550 pounds. Upon putting the chair together, its durability and size is apparent as it’s the widest gaming chair I have and is great if you need some extra room. It’s an impressive build and one that is perfect for larger individuals.
The chair itself is also highly durable yet comfortable. Using high-resiliency foam, the cushion of the chair is two times heavier than regular foam per cubic foot. It’s not quite memory foam in terms of pure comfort, but it feels great and is perfect for extended sitting sessions, be it a work day at a desk or relaxing while playing the latest video game release. It’s all overlaid with stain-resistant polyurethane leather, which looks great and is quite durable. The lumbar pillow that comes with it provides solid sitting support as well (although I didn’t love the head pillow as much as it is a bit stiffer than I’d want, so I replaced it).
There’s also quite a bit of customizability when it comes to sitting, which has become standard for gaming chairs. You can adjust the height of the seat while also locking its tilt in place, which pairs well with the adjustable bracket that allows you to tilt back 155 degrees — great for napping. The armrests also feature several adjustments, such as rotating it in and out or adjusting it sideways. However, the armrests are another one of my minor complaints as they’re not as comfortable as some more luxury chairs.
While it’s not going to compete with luxury chairs in terms of looks, the E-WIN Flash XL Size Series gaming chair delivers in providing a great chair for those looking for a big and tall offering. It’s a segment of the market that has been underserved, and it’s great to see such a sturdy chair on the market that feels comfortable while still supporting up to 550 pounds. With the Flash XL, you won’t have to choose between comfort and durability, which is the chair’s ultimate selling point.
