Created and directed by Soumendra Padhi, Jamtara – Sabka Number Ayega is an Indian Hindi-language crime drama series. Based on true events, the series is set in the titular town (in the Indian state of Jharkhand) that has become synonymous with cybercrime. The plot revolves around a group of youths running a sophisticated phishing racket until their success draws the interest of an earnest police superintendent as well as a corrupt politician.

The intermediate period between the releases of seasons 1 and 2 was about two years. Given this precedence and the fact that there hasn’t been any news on the development of season 3, it’s safe to presume that it will not come out in the remaining months of 2023. In a September 2022 interview with Moneycontrol, Padhi stated that he was open to the idea of making season 3, but it all depended on the performance of season 2.
“It would be great to do season 3 but the response to season 2 will determine that,” the writer-director stated. “We believe we have a great story and that people will have a great time watching it, just as we had making it. I am working on a full-length feature which will be announced soon. This is a great time for storytellers. Five years ago one could not have imagined the amazing stories being offered on a weekly basis. These are great times for producers, writers, directors, anyone in the business.”
As season 2 has done considerably well, receiving a largely positive response, there is a legitimate chance for Jamtara to be renewed for season 3.
