Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon is currently tracking to make more than $20 million at the box office during its opening weekend.
According to Deadline, Killers of the Flower Moon is projected to make approximately $24 million when the movie hits theaters across the United States on October 20, 2023. Deadline further reports the movie is tracking well with men and women over 25. The budget for the film was approximately $200 million.
Scorsese’s last film prior to Killers of the Flower Moon was The Irishman, which only received a limited theatrical release given that it was a Netflix film. It made approximately $7 million in North American theaters and another $1 million in other territories.
Prior to that, Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street grossed $19.4 million at the United States box office on its opening weekend. It ultimately ended up making $406.9 million at the worldwide box office and is Scorsese’s highest-grossing film, meaning Killers of the Flower Moon has a chance to take the record given that its opening weekend projections are even higher.

Starring with DiCaprio are Gladstone are Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, and Jillian Dion.
