WWE has released a handful of talent from the company on Thursday, including some surprising names like Mustafa Ali.
Several superstars confirm news on social media
News of the cuts came via the WWE superstars’ own social media channels. Ali — who was actually scheduled to be in a NXT North American Championship match at the end of the month — took to Twitter to announce he was no longer working with WWE.
Other cuts include fan-favorite characters like Dolph Ziggler, Shelton Benjamin, Riddick Moss and Elias, which were confirmed via Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp.
Following his announcement, other superstars and reports also confirmed that they had been cut from the company, including Emma, Tenille Dashwood, Rick Boogs, and Aliyah. It’s unclear just how many people have been cut as of now.
We will continue updating as releases come in.
