Rumors are spreading about Avengers: The Kang Dynasty being canceled, but just how much truth is there to these claims? Here’s what you need to know about the new Avengers movie potentially being canceled and Jonathan Majors’ role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Has Avengers: The Kang Dynasty been canceled?
No, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty has not been canceled.
Despite rumors swirling around the internet, there has been no official announcement about the movie being canceled, nor have there been any leaks from credible sources suggesting that the film will be axed.
Internet rumors have a habit of rapidly spreading, even if they aren’t backed up with evidence. For now, the Avengers: The Kang Dynasty cancelation rumors seem false and exaggerated.
If Marvel does indeed cancel the movie, we at ComingSoon will be quick to report on it.
Will Kang the Conqueror still be played by Jonathan Majors?
At the time of writing, Jonathan Majors is still playing Kang the Conqueror.
Majors’s role within the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been heavily scrutinized due to the allegations of abuse from “two dozen sources.” However, Disney appears to be going forward with the actor for Loki season 2 and beyond.
Kang the Conqueror follows Thanos as the next big bad the Avengers will face. Majors’ Kang was first encountered in Loki season 1, and he appeared again in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The character and his many variants are clearly intended to appear in multiple upcoming movies, with Majors reprising his role many times before the inevitable final battle.
For now, Jonathan Majors remains Kang, and Disney/Marvel has not said otherwise.
